OnePlus has came out with it’s new smartphone in mid-range segment. The smartphone is named as OnePlus Nord. Oneplus has has made a huge hype of this phone. And I consider that the phone doesn’t deserve that much hype. Let’s not talk more about the hype and come to the straight point. The OnePlus Nord has a similar design as the OPPO Reno 3 Pro. Therefore, it also comes under a giant BBK Electronics. Moreover, OnePlus Nord is only available in India, Hong Kong, Malaysia and 28 European markets. Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and the UK these are some major European markets getting Nord. OnePlus will give 50 people from Canada and US a chance to experience the new Nord as a beta programme, although OnePlus won’t launch it officially in North American markets.

The OnePlus Nord actual pre-orders are open only via OnePlus Experience stores, whereas Amazon will start taking pre-orders from July 28. Additionally, the company will offer the Red Cable Club members a chance to buy the Nord before anyone else on August 3 via OnePlus website and OnePlus Experience Stores. OnePlus Nord sale offers for a regular customer includes ₹ 2,000 discount on purchases made using American Express Cards and upto ₹ 6,000 benefits on Reliance Jio. The customers who pre-order Nord from Amazon will get no-cost EMI option.
Oneplus Nord Specifications
In terms of specifications, the Nord features a 6.44″ FHD+ AMOLED display with upto 90Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it is powered by Snapdragon 765G SoC which is capable of 5G connectivity also the Snapdragon 765G has a built-in modem. The phone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the back. In Addition, the phone has in-display fingerprint which is quite fast when compared to another smartphones in that price range. After that, there is a 4115 mAh battery which supports warp charge 30t (which was with in OnePlus 7T). It charges the phone from 0% to roughly 70% in just 30 short minutes.
Let’s jump on to camera section, the Nord borrows some things from OnePlus 8, one of which is it’s main camera – 48MP with Sony IMX586 sensor and has f/1.75 lens. The quad camera on the Nord also includes an 8MP wide angle camera. It also has a depth sensor of 5MP and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, it comes with 32MP main camera and 8MP wide angle camera.
The device runs on Android 10 based OxygenOS 10.5 and it has also received it’s first software update in the form of OxygenOS 10.5.1. The company has promised 2-years of getting software updates and 3-years of receiving security patches on the Nord.
The Nord is price in India starts at ₹24,999 for the base 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM variant. The phone will also be offered in 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM, 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM variants that has been priced at ₹27,999 and ₹29,999 respectively. The company offers two color variants – Blue Marble and Grey Onyx.
Exclusive
The 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM variant is exclusive to the Indian market. The company hasn’t announced the exact sale date for this variant and has just said that it will go on sale in early September.

In conclusion, I would say that it is also a normal mid-range smartphone, it also has a same features as a mid-range smartphone has. But OnePlus had made a huge hype on this smartphone which is not worth it. By the way I liked the smartphone. OnePlus gave a premium feel to their customers by providing OxygenOS. OxygenOS is loved by every Android user as it is well optimized and main, it gives Stock Android experience.
